This afternoon there was a huge white 18 wheeler truck in the street. It sat there for hours. I couldn't figure out. The truck sat there and just kept sitting there. Only one man in the truck and he got out and went into the apartment building.
Hours went by and he didn't come out. My friend suggested that it was a moving truck. On the door it said it was a transport truck. No signs on the rest of the truck or a phone number anywhere.
Later on while I was walking outside I saw a couple standing outside just looking at the trucks side door where it was now open and the ramp down. So it did appear to be a moving truck. So what was that man moving everything by himself?

Yeah it is. I looked out about 3 hours ago and the truck was gone. There is no way that one man moved everything out of the apartment, especially if it was on an upper floor by himself that quickly. And because it must of been a larger apartment with a lot of stuff because a "huge" truck came.

It's highly likely. Only time will tell.

@kaylachan Like I said it wasn't a Uhaul or any other moving vehicle. It was huge! Even if it was a Uhaul one person can't do something like move a couch, dining table, dresser, etc. by themselves. I don't know why that big of a truck would come and just get boxes and small stuff.

@dfollin Or there was less in it then you might've thought? Well that obviously wasn't a U-haul, so chances are there was a driver and maybe one other person along.

These moving companies have all different programs. I wonder if his help was out with the COVID or something and he had to do the work himself. Maybe he waiting for them for awhile and they were a no show. I don't think I'd like to him at the end of his day.

They would call in temp workers, they wouldn't send him out to do a job he couldn't do by himself plus disappoint customers. The apartment complex management will not be able to extend for those people to stay if the lease is up especially if they have already re rented it.

That is strange. But people do move on their own, I guess.

Yes, they do. I have never been able to pay for movers. Most people that I know do move on their own, when they do they either already have their own truck or rent a Uhaul and friends and family come help. However the people that were moving were standing on the sidewalk , off to the side, just looking in the truck, and the ramp was out from a large door on the side of the truck.
