The Second Half of My Day Thursday

After we got home from Baton Rouge, I fed the baby chicks and watered them and came inside to finish off the tagging I needed to do for a Flea Market run! Yes, I headed out to the Flea Market. I wanted to get a few new things in the booth for this weekend's shopping and shoppers! I was late again because I had to stop at the drug store and also got behind two slow moving trucks with no passing on the hills. I had about 40 minutes to straighten up and put the new things out. Today I brought some new men's t-shirts with cute sayings on them. I had one t-shirt for the ladies today. I also put out a vintage rooster covered butter dish that is pretty cute. I thought about keeping him, but decided that I wouldn't use him often enough to justify another object just sitting and looking cute on the counter. Yay, for me! I had to stop at the grocery store for bread and milk and caulking for the hubby. After that i picked up Greek Gyros at Arby's for our dinner and headed home. After dinner I logged on to my laptop to find my test results from my lab work today. I was right, the UTI is still there. No response from my doctor about calling in medication, but today was a half day for their office. I will see something Monday morning. At least I got that over with and didn't have to make a special trip since hubby was already going today. What did you have for dinner tonight? Photo Credit: Pixabay, Public Domain

I watch a channel on YouTube where the young man, Taco Stacks, goes to flea markets, sells at them, and also does junk pick up and takes metal to the metal yard. He does quite well at it. He sells on eBay and at the flea markets. This is his only form of income and he does quite well at it. He seems to know what type of things to acquire and what will sell. Sounds like fun work to me.

You would be surprised at how many people make a living doing that!! We have people at the flea market that depend on that income as their main source of income.

@kareng .......I enjoy watching him and his friends Paper and Moose. They also buy pallets at auctions and storage units. It's amazing what they find. He owns a home and has two cars so he is doing well for himself. I also enjoy hearing him expound on how he feels about saving things from going to the landfill.

I'm sorry that you're having UTI trouble too. I need to call my doctor again. I had my usual PB&J sandwich for dinner. I had Meals on Wheels for lunch...a tuna fish sandwich and sides. Have a good weekend.

@kareng Yes. I really don't want to deal with problems I'm having. I'd rather concentrate on getting the house ready for my husband to come home to.

@LindaOHio You have to take care of yourself though! And you want to feel good while getting the house ready. Don't put it off!! We don't want you to end up in the hospital.

You would of thought that knowing I have recurring UTI's that they could of done a STAT on it and made sure they called in before leaving!

Sounds like a good day. It's best not to hold on to something you know you won't use often. Dinner sounds delicious! I had a tuna pasta salad for dinner last night.

I plan to try and get George to eat hotdogs here in a second. He knows he needs to eat orally to bring up his weight and get rid of his peg tube. I had something out of a box.

My husband fixed pork spare ribs on the grill. I made corn on the cob and Texas toast to go with it. Applesauce later on during the night.

Is the butter dish an antique? My Mum had a similar one but of a hen. The colour had all washed off it over the years.

This one is vintage era. Your mom's sounds like it was loved and used a lot!!
