So I Don't Have Children, Does That Make Me Less Than?

I always knew from a very young age that I should not be bringing little people into the world. I knew I didn't have the temperament or the love it required to raise a child.
Does that make me less than people who do have children?
I still am a compassionate person, I respect people. I have made accomplishments throughout my life.
I am there for those who need me. I love and I am loved!

Having children doesn't make someone more worthy or better than anyone else. Sometimes people recognize that they shouldn't or couldn't be parents and that is a good choice too. That's where @porwest and I get into "discussions" because I never wanted to be a parent and am not. I still serve my sentence by working with hundreds of teenagers each day.

Being that I volunteer for my church, there are times when I have to interact with children; if given the choice, I would have declined. Even though things worked out and I did learn that these little people are truly amazing.
I still prefer not to be in their space. Thank you for your understanding

Whether you decided not to have a child or you just can't have one, that doesn't make you less of a person.
Your values and beliefs define who you are. As long as you are a good person, that's all that matters.
Whatever your decisions are, people got nothing to do about it.
When you said that you are there for those who need you and you are loved, that's great and that's all that matters.

I think not all women are meant to have children. It is not a curse like some people think. God is in control and He has a purpose for those who don't have children.

I always wanted children and I am very proud of all of mine. Not everyone who wants children can have them. My sister wanted a baby terribly but could not have one, she was a wonderful, loving aunt to my 4. I have friends who didn’t want children. It should be a choice, not a have to just because, and definitely not tell children they were an ''accident'' My own birth mother did not want children and was not a good parent. But in a good Catholic family, you had children if you were able to.
There should be no shame and no stigma on the choice to not have children. And politicians need to butt out of that topic.

To hear American Republicans tell it, apparently so. Thankfully, they aren’t in control, God is.

Not everyone is meant to have children. I always wanted one or two but fate gave me no children,

It doesn't matter if you don't have children. It's a personal choice. Not all women have the capability or mindset to raise a child.

We never had children and never regretted it. We have my husband's 2nd and 3rd cousins that do things for us; and his good friend checks on us from time to time. Even the lady across the street calls from time to time. Have a good week.

Everyone has their own path! What's important is how you lived your life. There's no room to think such if you are happy and fulfilled with your life. In the end, its the meaning you put in your life that is important, not your circumstances. After all, you don’t achieve meaning solely by having children!
