Venezuela (or shall I say Maduro) showed us the door.

After several Latin American countries protested against the way elections were held in Venezuela, my country, among others was shown literally the door. We were asked to leave (no Ambassadors) and they called back their Ambassadors. We all were called fascists under the dominion of the US. No comments, I´d say.
We we thrown out along with several contries who signed together asking for clear results. Brazil said the same and signed the same letter. But it was different and they are still in good terms with them. I suppose that it is because Brazil is a giant and has big limits with Venezuela.
I have not seen a bit of the games. Politics have kept me interested lately.
After today, more Venezuelans will flee. I pity those families.
See you later. I just steamed the most beautiful cauliflower I have seen in a long time and ate it with mayo. Luna is fed and I´m cozy.

@marguicha I've heard reports that Biden is in cahoots with him. Sounds about right!

@kareng The thing is, Venezuela has oil. Whoever is the president of the US, he/she will be lukewarm with the head of a country with oil.

Glad you are all cozy for the evening. I am sorry to hear that the politics in your area are not going so well. Do you think things will go in a more positive direction?

@celticeagle If we just could! I always wonder at the need that some people have of money and power. It seems that they can´t live without it.

Maduro will get away with this rigged election because Venezuela has oil. The US may offer a token form of protest. But the coming November election will be a tight race and the Biden administration would not want any disruption of oil supplies or a price hike in the US that would affect voter's decision on whom to vote for.

I completly agree with you. And even if it is disgusting, I just know that´s the way it is.
