Something Kamala Harris Said Struck Me

Women were not given the right to vote until 1920 with the 19th Amendment. Before that women were thought to be too childlike and incapable of independent thought. Black women didn't have the right to vote until 1965 with the Voting Rights Act.
Roe vs. Wade in 1973 made abortion services safer and more accessible for women. Then in 2022 the Supreme Court overturned Roe V. Wade and ended the rights that women had had for decades. Now any rights to abortions have been given to the individual states and many are trying to ban them completely.
Something Kamala Harris said recently really made me think. First, a woman is forced into the sexual act without the right to choose when and with whom. Then, after being forcibly raped she is then not given the right to choose whether she wants to go to full term with this child or have an abortion. She, once again, is forced to go to full term. When does the woman get to choose what happens to her, her body, and her life?

Women are about 50% of the population. If you care for your rights, vote. If you care for your rights talk. People are lose their rights if they don´t exercise them. But we also need the people in power to talk for us.

No! When we get people in office who help us to get our rights back. Republicans are in the majority right now. We need the democrats back who will help get things back on track. Republicans have made such a mess of things.

@grenery8 ......And not losers like Trump. He is showing himself to be an inhumane and evil man. We need someone we can be proud of running this country That certainly is not him.
