IVF is equal to arranged marriages

Yesterday, a friend made this statement, and well, I have laughed and smiled a lot at this.
This morning when the newspaper mentioned IVF, I was kinda, what..............a coincidence.
Come to think of it, it is true....so much nutrient and environment is given for the sperm to mate with ovum. Dowry...comes to mind.
And the selection is pretty limited. Only good quality sperms are used. Like rich men for rich women, or royal men for royal women.
It costs a fortune.
That still does not guarantee that the progeny will not have genetically propagated diseases or other complications. Sigh.
And it does not guarantee that the progeny will be pretty like Angelina Jolie. Or sing like Rahul Deshpande.
So is it worth it?
I don't think so...
The fear is...there will be nobody to blame if the child ended up with say Pony's handsome looks unfortunately blessed with my squeaky voice..they take undertakings upfront.

A polygamous marriage, since one man's sperm can fertilize different eggs like the Ottawa fertility doctor who was sued because he use his own sperm in the conception of over 100 children. It's also possible to have a mé·nage à trois where one egg is fertilized by the sperm of two men.

Sigh....I should have said my looks and Pony's voice....that would be pretty bad...LOL
You are ok with it, because you know how Pony looks, and you know his nature. Had you not known, you would have found it awkward.
