Although, I am always the first to remind others that a child is "only acting his age" or maybe a bit overstimulated, I have zero tolerance for kids climbing all over chairs and tables, throwing food, toys, etc. That unruliness suggests a lack of discipline, obedience, or order, and is their parents' fault. And I am not alone. When my 30-year-old son called me the other day, he told me how boisterous he became at a restaurant recently when one woman would not settle her children down. My son still has no children, and the rest of the children in that restaurant were sitting still, eating their meals.

Unruly children and people talking and laughing really loud annoy me. I like a quiet dining experience. Have a good day.

Unsupervised children and people talking on their cell phones are what annoy me the most.

I once stopped going to a restaurant when nobody would tell the parents of awful childen to make them stop bothering other people or go away. Children can and must learn how to be at a restaurant. Yelling and runnung is not "acting their age". Or, if that is it, they must all stay at home or have a family time at a park.

@chellezhere If you can’t control your kids you shouldn’t take them to restaurants. Oh there are so many other things to add to the list, not least waiters who pick their noses. And people who talk and guffaw loudly as if they were in their own homes. I get so angry in restaurants. Every restaurant ought to employ a shusher who would walk among the tables and poke anyone who talks too loudly with a sharp stick. And yelling into phones, and kids playing on beeping “devices” ….

It annoys me when parents allow their children to be unruly when everyone else in the church is well behaved and taking part in the worship of listening to the bible reading or preaching.
