1 August - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon from warm Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's 81 F and feels like 86 F. Yeah, hot.
There is so much to be thankful for every day. If I were to count all my blessings, I would never run out of things to be thankful for. So, I give you the highlights of my thanks and blessings.
I'm thankful for my haircut. I look like my picture once again, not a shaggy dog.
I'm thankful for my friend down the hall who took me to get my haircut. She also took me to Walgreens so I could get birthday cards for my friend who organized my birthday party and my sister, whose birthday is in another week.
I'm thankful for the work I did on New Horizons - Predators and Terrorists. Minor editing as I read through this to help me with the next book in the series.
I'm thankful for the walk around the pond trail this morning. I now have all my steps.
I'm thankful I could help my friend out by watching Sammy while she went to see her sister in the hospital. She's not doing well. Sammy was a good boy.

I am thankful Mike didn't get hurt while we were trimming tree limbs. One broke free and knocked him to the ground. And that I got the yard mowed. Now to rest so I have the energy to go mow at the church in the morning before it hits 98F. Today was 94F

I thank God that I am able to have lunch gathering with like-mind people today, called BBFF Baby Boomers Freedom Fighters. I'm a newcomer there. A lady Christian friend told me about it.

We hit 95 this afternoon and it was SO hot!!
Thankful for time with my friend shopping today, who drove in from Denham Springs to see the new shop I'm in up here. Always fun to hang out with her.
And thankful for an afternoon spent with my hubby.
Now I have to get busy and prepare things for the flea market tomorrow!! I hope it goes quickly!

@just4him Pretty much a relaxed day except for running to the flea market to put some new things out for the weekend!!
Started the day working in the garden after feeding and watering all of the animals. Got the hubby out there today. He needs a little exercise..

Nice updates.
Plenty to be thankful here as well.
Good progress on the book.
Challenges do abound but hopes if good results never go away.
We got some good rains on Wednesday which was great.
Yet heavy and concentrated rain caused Waterlogging on the roads and seepage problems in many places.
However it has made the weather more tolerable and the humidity has also reduced.

I'm thankful that things have gone fairly smoothly. I say fairly, because I got some pushback from George. But I also got George to change his shirt so I could do laundry. He also, changed into his night shirt on his own without me having to pretty much force it. He also ate some snacks. He's trying. He keeps locking up his right arm and I have to help with the sleave, but I am just happy he's acting like himself.

I was thankful that my husband's 2nd cousin brought a load of my husband's things to me. I'm thankful that my husband is getting good care in the hospital; but I hope he will still be coming home on Sunday. Have a good day.
