No wifi, no internet for a whole day.

I should have started to weep, friends. I was mylotting and the TV was on so that I could listen to some news. Suddenly everything stopped except for a message from my supplier who said that I would be out of EVERYTHING until tonight. No grocery list but I hand cleaned the kitchen and ate some nice things from time to time. I discovered that I could sweep the floors so my house will survive the absense of Anita. I did a lot of things I normally put off. And I am reading again The Help, a very good book by Kathryn Stockett that I had downstairs by chance. I also saw the movie and it is very good too, if you want to check it out. Now the internet is back. I´m mylotting again and I dinned and took my pills. Everything is under control. See you.

I hate it when I am home and that happens. Usually, it's because we are having a hellacious storm, but luckily it hasn't happened for quite some time (knock on wood!). I'm glad it's all back on again for you!

@MarieCoyle Part of the destruction we have here is because the authority never realizes that some jobs must be done before winter arrives.

@marguicha Wind can be deadly and destructive. And unfortunately there is no way to escape from it.

Nowadays, the Internet is considered as essential as electricity, water, and food. I noticed that when we were flooded during the monsoon season, the first thing people complained about was the lack of internet and power in their homes.

@marguicha It is a good thing you have power again. Because mobile internet can provide access to a wide range of government services and aid, if either were unavailable in my location, they would prioritize internet access over power. When their cellphone battery runs out and needs to be recharged, that is the only time they will call for power to be restored.

When the internet goes out, it feels like the world has ended because so much of our daily lives rely on online connectivity. Business operations, from emails to virtual meetings, come to a halt, disrupting productivity and economic flow. Communication with family and friends is also heavily impacted, as social media, messaging apps, and video calls are primary means of staying connected. This reliance highlights our dependency on digital infrastructure, making even a brief outage feel like a major disruption to our modern way of life.

It is tough to be without internet these days. It has become an essential or a neccesity for living. We are all glued to internet one way or the other. Without the same, we do not have other activities as such. Well, reading books are now less people do as most use internet and digital devices for reading and learning. There are few household chores we could do without bothering about internet. If you had mobile data, you had surfed internet with help of smartphone and eve tried mylot. I understand how tough thoe 24 hours were.Glad to see the ordeal was over for you after a day. Enjoy the weekend!
