We watched this western series, of four movies lasting 6 hours and 21minutes. No, I couldn't stay seated and needed to leave the room many times. I got bored
This was one of the best western movies(four)that I've ever seen. Lonesome Dove main actors were Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones. They both did an amazing job of acting!
Jay was mesmerized by these moviesHe barely batted and eyelash, but he did take potty breaks once in a while. I left and ventured onto My Lot, probably about ten times.
We also ate supper, with the television still turned on. I'm not a TV person, books are my favorite source of entertainment. Movies can be a welcomed switch, at times. We accomplished absolutely nothing on Sunday.
The main character was a womanizer, yet he was extremely kind to his two favorite females. One lady he'd known for over 30 years, the younger lass he had just met her. And Gus had taken her under his powerful wing of protection:)
Knowing his ways for so many years, Clara had refused his marriage proposal more than 30 times:) She knew these things could never make her happy.

This one wasn't too violent, except where the doctor cut off a man's leg. I had to leave the room!

@kobesbuddy That happens a lot. I couldn't watch because doctors had no anesthetic then. In one particular case they gave the patient a lot of rum to drink...

Being 4 movies, it was impossible to follow everything that occurred, in one sitting.

Thanks for the review and critique. My husband is more of the Western fan. I'm glad Jay enjoyed them. Have a good day.

These were wonderful movies, more like 'Little House on the Prairie' style.

Yes, you're right! Those main characters always seemed to attract, the most beautiful ladies!

There are four movies on one DVD. A person could watch these movies, four different days.
