It has been almost 3.5 years that I bought these earbuds & used it extensively. Now these earbuds are unable to pair up with mobile phone & if I try and reset the factory settings, it doesn't allow. Seems like some kind of battery issue...I called up their Customer Support and they told me that these devices aren't repairable, I have to junk it. This is the problem with modern day devices, if they go along for years then great, else it is difficult to get spare parts for repairing. The logic being simple, if Companies make spare parts unavailable, customers are forced to buy new items. In a way, its a business opportunity for them.

You have the right idea, but the thing is, eletronics are by designed to last only so long, because companies want customers to buy the next big thing. Now in terms of earbuds, it's not that spare parts aren't avaible, but they aren't designed to be repaired.

earlier in 80s & 90s things were manufactured to last longer....but, guess marketers thought it was loss for their revenue income

@Rimps85 In the 80's the technology was new and markerters couldn't tell how well it would be adopted. But, the way we use technology has changed by quite a bit.

Yep, time for a new pair! That is the way a business thinks. No parts for repair, so a new sale. Cha-ching!! for them and more $$ out of your pocket and into theirs. Hope you find a nice replacement that lasts just as long as those did or more!
