There are too many things about politics that I don´t understand.

I have been following from the distance the fights (I could not name it differently) between Trump and whoever will confront him.
And I wondered why is is that Trump´s wife has not been seen.
Then my thoughts jumped to whether Kamala Harris was married or not. And today I discovered that she did have a husband.
Different countries have different ways of doing politics. I remember that decades ago, one of President´s Kennedy´s biggest assets was his wife Jacqueline.
I think that the last President´s wife that I have SEEN from the outside was Michelle Obama.
What are your thoughts about it?

When someone runs for office, their private lives are no longer private. If Trump wins again (or whoever) any family dealings will become public knowlege. Michel put herself out there, but the big schandle of the time was her husband had a secret lover. None of this has to deal with politics, but it is designed to make a person look bad, nothing more.

No, it doesn´t. At least not in every country. But the US is very conservative from my point of view.

@marguicha Yeah, it can be. It's a melting pot which makes it a hot mess.

I'm not well-versed in politics either, but I do agree that many successful politicians have very influential wives.
I've noticed how people can change and become sensitive when discussing politics, which is why I tend to avoid it. No matter who wins, there will always be those who benefit and those who face disadvantages. So, as long as it doesn't directly affect me or my family, we simply adapt to the changes. We exercise our right to vote, and that's as far as we go.

Some presidents' wives take the forefront and are in the public eye and travel to other countries, etc. Some do not. Have a wonderful day.

It helps a lot if a president´s wife is intelligent.

@marguicha Melania Trump speaks five languages. I'd say that's pretty smart.

I read that Trump's wife told him she isn't going back to the white house.

I suppose that she is not what I would consider a wife. They are not like common people.

I think it is quite simply explained. Melania Trump is simply the wife of the former president and potentially the next First Lady, but she is not one who has ever been all that interested in politics, and so she stays in the back drop. I don't think any less of her for it.
