I think for sure we are in the Summerween time of the year, where everyone is tired of the heat, kids are returning to school and people start thinking of fall activities like Halloween I saw this on a smart news post..and thought the author just made it up. The term has been around for awhile apparently. Happy Summerween everyone!

Whatever for? It is fun for all. I don't mind September and even August this time of the month is not bad. I was just down at the lake and it was very pleasant. The funny thing is every year when it gets to this time in the season, people don't show up down there like they do in June and July. It was quiet and no one else was on the beach. I wasn't sorry at all! There were some boaters but no crazy stuff going on and the people who have a big boathouse were hanging out..but that was it.

@snowy22315 They’re going on several trips this year, so she’s cutting costs here and there. The old outfits don’t fit them anymore, but I’m sure she can come up with something free, if not perfect. But, not a lot of effort will be put into it.

It is full force back to school around our parts.
School bells will ring again on the day after Labour Day.
These last couple of weeks of summer are busy for parents getting their children's school supplies.
There are Halloween candy on the shelves, but some of those will be used as a last minute addition to a child's lunch pail I'm sure. I haven't seen anyone buying any of it.

They have already gone back to school here(much too early) Alot of kids will be starting back this week.. Supposedly this is the weekend college kids moved in.

@snowy22315 Here our university students are beginning to move to campus and off campus housing.
Frosh Week is the first week of September. That is when all of the classes are in full swing.
The littles also go back that week.
For the rest of the world, it is nice, because it is a return to schedules. No more grocery shopping during the week day and seeing students acting up.

Our temps will drop into the 70s this week. Perfect weather. I like fall; but I don't like what follows. Have a good week.

Winters don't tend to be too bad around here It disappoints me a bit because I like snow. We haven't had any to speak of the past couple of years, and I am guessing it will be the same this year.

Yeah, I looked at the 10 days forecast last night. The forecast looks really good. Two days maybe around 90 degrees and the rest all good. I may even be able to walk outside this week, if the humidity is low..I can definitely do it.
