I Took a Day Off

I should have been here at myLot yesterday. I wasn't. I took the day off. I spent time doing jigsaw puzzles online.
It sounds like I was being irresponsible and lazy. Maybe so.
Today, I feel so much better. I am ready to go off to the internet races and work on my writing. I need to prepare a story to send to a magazine in September.
Do you ever take a day off? What do you like to do on those days? Do you enjoy writing?

I understand completely. I quit Swagbucks and do not miss the surveys at all. When I quit, the surveys were doing loops where they kept getting information for several surveys, never completing anything, and never getting paid. I was so tired of bowing and scraping for pennies.

@AmbiePam I don't blame you. I hated doing surveys but there were fewer activities all the time. When they started the loops, I decided they are just getting information to sell on the dark web. I feel so much better being off of the site. Once in a while, I read the Facebook page and see comments about them taking things away. Then, I am glad I quit.

I love writing. There's nothing wrong with taking a day off. It can help you recharge and reset. Have a good day.

@LindaOHio I have a Christian blog that I don't write anymore. I did a lot of articles for Yahoo, Helium, Viewshound, some Australian websites, and other places I can't recall right now. All of them have since folded so I don't have links except for the blog. I had something published in Fate Magazine, Weeder's Digest, and some lesser-known places. Anyway, I try.

@akalinus I used to write on a lot of different sites, some of which are gone like Epinions, Bubblews, etc. I've also written for HubPages which still exists; and I had my own blog at one time. I've written a child's book in rhyme which I'd like to get published. Where do you write, if you don't mind my asking?

I think those kinds of breaks are necessary . . . like you said, it made you feel so much better. I don't get big chunks of time off, but I do like to do "different" things during the day in order to break up routines. I exercise (dance/tai chil/walk), take on home/cleaning projects, window shop, go somewhere new - anything "different" from the norm.

That sounds like a great routine. Do you ever have a lazy day when you don't feel like doing anything important?
Currently, I am dusting and waxing my bedroom furniture. There are thousands of tiny grooves that fill up with dust. I don't know why there is so much dust. Everything around here is paved or lawn so where does it come from?

@JudyEv You wrote some plays? That's wild!
I only wrote one play. It was for a girl group at church. It was so lame so long ago. I would write it differently now. Anyway, I had the girls make paper flowers which they gave away to the audience members at the end.

I'm studying Sanskrit these days.Today is festival-"Rakshabandhan".But I did not take today off. It's because I'm enjoying studying Sanskrit and can't afford to leave it even for a single day.Learning Sanskrit has been my passion.

@Shivram59 That is awesome. I love it. It sounds like you are doing great. I saw samples of Sanskrit writing and have no idea how to pronounce the words. How do you know how to say it.

We should actually take regular day off from things. This helps us to be fresh and do not feel mundane or bored with something. I have faced such situations with my other chores. Regular breaks or time away has helped me to be fresh and do not feel bored with the activity. For mylot, I am yet to feel away as I am here only for a limited time of a day and just for relaxation . I respond only to limited discussions and thus I dod not feel burned out. Well, good luck with your things and writing!
