Getting So Disgusted With Social Media

Maybe it is me, but if you posted something with specific details which made it clear you were there, or you knew someone, etc, I would give you some credence. I'd ask a question or two to ascertain if you are posting from knowledge or some hoax. On social media, i.e. Reddit, you can post about the tree in your front yard, and they will dispute it. You can give time, place, dates, and they will dispute it. I am just so tired of this.

Some people love to argue. I don't have the energy to argue even with my family members.

sometimes I can't believe people who know nothing about the topic will dispute.

How odd. I know nothing of Reddit. What is it?

Then ignore it. Or don't post anything. You are always going to find someone who wants to argue for the sake of arguing. So you need to take the good with the bad.

I have been and seen and done certain things, and that's what I'll write about. And before they pause and think...hmmm how would she know that? they attack as if they have information, which they don't.

There's complaints no matter what it is. Don't expect a bright and cheery post. There's always a needler

yes, they are toxic and mean and don't go there if you want to remain positive. i mean, it's your choice, of course.

what shocked me is that it was a Jamaican subreddit. I am in Jamaica. I am talking about what I know for a fact, and these people, not in Jamaica, are arguing. How is that possible? If you told me it is raining in Croatia I wouldn't dispute,

Its impeccably ok to feel upset with social media. You can create a better relationship with social media that aligns with your values and boosts your wellbeing. Focus on the influences and content that truly improve your life.

The point is, if you post about a situation in the Philippines, some guy in New Jersey will dispute it.

Social Media is something else. Enjoy the rest of your day.

It is. If something happened in Oregon and you posted it, I would immediately believe you...yes, I might ask some questions, but not dispute. Esp. since I'm in Jamaica

I do not blame you since sometimes when I Tweet to a female sports entertainer who is a Millennial who probably never heard of the late musician Donna Summer song title called "The Queen Is Back", that complimented her coming back to work wrestling shows in Texas, that comment was not featured in the comments section. I wonder why?

@aninditasen that is exactly how you stay under the radar. I find on Reddit the Admins will sooner erase a post I make then anything else

If social media tires you out, you can always take a step back. It’s true it’s a big part of life now, but how you engage with it is still your choice. Why waste time and energy being upset? At the end of the day, its just the internet. People will argue with a rock if they could. No need to stress over it. I know what's true - no need to convince everyone else. Let them debate my tree while I enjoy the shade. rofl *Chill*

Unfortunately , thats social media. Everyone has opinion .Even bullies does! There is no point in arguing with people when you know you are right. Ignore and move along would be the best thing. And also limit the use of social media. You do not have to take everything personally. If we consider eveyrthing which are getting mentioned in social media, we would be depressed. There are many who have faced the issues similar to you. So, take it easy and kove on with your life. There are many better things in life than social media.

I'm following your advice. The thing is, someone posts xyz about someone I know or something I was involved it and when I attempt to shine a bit of light into their darkness... attack!
