Truck accident on a highway in California spills boxes loaded with raisins

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) was called into service on Wednesday afternoon to pick up boxes that were filled raisins that closed six lanes of an eight lane freeway when a truck hit the center divider on the northbound lanes of the 2 Highway near the La Canada Flintridge area.
The accident sheared the truck trailer open which caused the boxes or raisins to spill on both sides of the highway which affected rush hour traffic so that a cleanup crew were able to clear six of the right lanes in a period of seven and a half hours.
I am sure that prices of raisins in the supermarkets will go through the roof due to the lack of raisins that were lost in the accident.

All I can see is that Claymation “California Raisins” commercial from the 80s.

What a waste of a lot of raisins, Wish someone knew of animals who enjoy raisins and they could be gathered and dumped in an area where there are animals,

That is a good idea to give away the raisins to starving animals.

Well you took the words right out of my mouth about the price of raisins going up
it's a good thing no 1 was hurt, but almost 8 hrs to clean it up in rush hr traffic
I bet that was a mess & slippery & hard to get all that off the road to drive on.

A nasty accident raisin havoc, so to speak. It is always a great shame when foods are wasted like this, by such an accident.

I hope the driver is OK. That must have been quite a backup on the freeway.

I think that the driver of the truck is okay even though the driver is upset that he or she lost the raisins that were on the truck spilling on a highway.

I guess it depends on how many undamaged boxes got picked up

Raisins? I bet the price will go up on them in that area. I hope the driver is alright.
