I already did a review on book 1 The Write Place. English teacher meets author. A perfect mix of romance, family drama, friendship, humour, grief, and a little bit of spice. Book 2 - The Write Time. This is how Jenny and Ben finally get together after knowing each other for 9 years. Jenny is a friend of Mac, and fellow teacher from the first book. Since Jenny and Ben have known each other for 9 years, this story goes from present to 9 years ago to present to 8 years ago to present… you get the picture. I think this is why I found it a slow read (except for the last few chapters). Book 3 - The Write Choice. A couple we meet in book 2 are Katie and Brandon, a married couple with two children trying to bring their broken marriage back together. He is sleeping in the basement. His job gives them a chance to move and make a fresh start. They are still very attracted to each other finding them each holding back until their issues (his late nights at work) are resolved. A change of pace for a romance, peaking with a good amount of steam. Overall, a pretty good series.

Interesting plot. I have not read a book series since the Game of Thrones, and I would love to start on a new one with a lighter and romantic storyline. How long did it take you to finish the series?

After I read the first book, I waited until I got both book two and three before I read them. Once I got to them I feel I read pretty quickly. They are quick, easy reads.

@almostoveryou I know Debbie Macomber has at least one book about ladies in a knitting circle. There are tons of food related books, usually cozy mysteries. Let me know if you want specific titles.

@patgalca I should look for some quick, easy reads next time. I like novels that are contained in a small town or neighborhood and revolve around cooking or a hobby like knitting.

The title itself grabbed my attention. I loved the clever pun—it was brilliant to me. I’m eager to see how the story embodies the title’s essence without overdoing it.

Only the first book had anything to do with writing as an author follows a teacher for fodder for his book. Though they continue into the next two books, the others are not writers. I think the author may have only planned on one book. When she made it a series she had to keep the "write" theme though it wasn't really in the story... but a good play on words.

@patgalca It would have been great to carry the same concept through the other two books, but I understand that it must have been challenging.

Thanks for reading and commenting. I actually wasn't going to post a review on this series here. I've gotten a bit lazy with my review writing.

Sounds like a good series. I am reading Hitler's book. I just want to see what he had said in the book. It was written before the war.

I am not big on historical books (fiction or non-fiction), but the few I have read I have enjoyed.

I reviewed book one, but when I received the next two and read them one after the other, I preferred to review the books as a series. I did that for a 3 book series of thrillers by Kiersten Modglin. I don't think we see many reviews done for series as opposed to individual books.

@LovesEverybody I did a series review on a 3 book series by Kiersten Modglin. I have another of her books waiting to post a review and 3 more on my shelf to read. I've also reviewed 3 other of her books. Not sure whether I am allowed to post the link to another MyLot link so I'll dm it to you. It's a review of the 3-book The Arrangement series.

@patgalca I like the idea of reviewing books as a series. I read a book by Kiersten Modglin i don't remember the title but do remember that I really enjoyed it. I have so many books I want to read that I have not read any more Kiersten Modglin books
