It's time to wash the curtains.

When I don't have the energy to do physically demanding chores, I do the laundry. It's something that I enjoy - from loading the clothes into the washer to hanging them on the rack and then folding them when they're dry. I'm thankful that our AWM is able to perform well despite the loads of laundry that I do every day. I try to not spin the clothes for too long so the washer doesn't get overworked. (It's a tip that I got from mommy friends who had the AWM earlier than I did.) We have plenty of sun where we are, and it's customary here to dry our clothes under the sun whenever possible. This week I decided that it's time to wash the curtains. We haven't washed our thick blackout curtains since we moved here in July. And with all the pollution from the highway nearby, the dust from road and building constructions, and the recent volcanic smog -- I guess our curtains have become so grimy and dusty. Must be the reason why I also keep sneezing lately. Right now, I'm washing the thick curtains from my daughters' bedroom. I did the light curtains the other day. And then there's two more panels to wash and I'll be done with theirs. I'll wash the master's bedroom curtains next. I think I need another rack for drying curtains and sheets. I'll see if I could get one this long weekend.
