Weirdest Thing in the Mail / myLot

What is the weirdest thing you got in the mail recently? I got a catalogue of edible bugs. It was to “occupant” so it wasn’t to me directly, but it was surprising to get, that’s for sure. I’m just not interested in eating bugs, even if they say it’s better for the environment.

@ambiepam My mailman handed me a packet once, holding it at arms length with a look of disgust on his face. It was marked HANDLE WITH CARE - LIVE WORMS. I had ordered them myself but not for eating of course, they were for my compost heap.

You mean you don't want to be like John the Baptist who ate locusts and wild honey? No, I wouldn't either. I don't think I've gotten anything weird in the mail.

Only a flier from McDonald's with coupons to buy their meals. I can consider their food not so much better than edible bugs.

Ewwww not something I'd be interested in either. I wouldn't want to eat bugs even if they were covered in chocolate

I haven't gotten anything weird recently but I did get a "big" surprise in the mail. It was a beautiful pop up card with such pretty flowers. I have it open on my dining room table and it makes me smile every time I pass by and see it.

Nothing really, I wouldn't eat bugs either though unless I was literally starving/hard up for food. Just nasty.

There was a school up in Oregon who had a teacher who made her students eat bugs for class. She was an environmental freak, and gave a student an F for not eating them. After a parent complained, they just gave her a warning. A warning when she made children eat bugs!

I have not gotten any weird things. I know there was a kids' book "How to Eat Fried Worms". I never read the whole thing at all.

That is a pretty weird thing to get in the mail for sure. Nothing weird here except for the stuff they keep sending me from a credit union I had 20 years ago. I think these people need to buy a new list!
