Have you ever eaten yellow water melon?

Yellow watermelon

At the supermarket yesterday, I was looking to buy fruits and saw this yellow watermelon right next to the red ones. My daughter found it tempting and I snagged one. Had a few pieces when I got home and am in two minds about them. They are juicy but did not have the sweet taste of the usual watermelons. Have you ever had these?

I have eaten then many times. Sometimes they are not sweet, but most of the times they would be. I love them.

@arunima25 the pieces come wrapped in cling wrap and it's difficult to get any smell from them.

@pitstop The trick is to smell them. The sweet ones will have a sweet smell( some might not like it).

I've never seen a yellow watermelon. I'll check if there are any available at a store I rarely go to

I really like them. If you don’t find them sweet enough, sprinkle a tad bit of salt on them.

I think I ever ate yellow watermelon before but actually I don't haven't a big impression to it. I still prefer to the normal red watermelon.

I've never heard of these and certainly haven't tasted one. How unusual.

Yes!! I actually prefer that over the red ones. Funny though—I find the yellow ones sweeter than the red.
