Cinnamon Queens are Teens Now!

Remember the Cinnamon Queen chicks I got back in early July? They were 2 weeks old when I picked them up and yesterday they made 9 weeks old.
I thought I would share a picture to let you see how big they are now! They are definitely in their teenage stage. It seems like they should be older, but they are not. I went back into my messages to check on the actual pick-up date and was surprised to see it was July and not June!
These chicks will be ready for the big coop in another 4 weeks or sooner by my guess.
I have a hen that likes to stand and watch them. Their cage is outside of the chicken coop but right up against it and under the awning. She is funny to watch. I could understand when they were small, but she still does it now. Go figure!
I am about to head back outside and go check on their water supply and throw a treat out for them.
What have you been up to today?

They sure grew quickly. So far a whole lot of nothing.

@kaylachan Yes, I actually think they are a bit "ahead of the game" with their size.

They look great! We don't have chickens, but a fair number of our neighbors do--I love hearing them during the day.

@wolfgirl569 I have one hen that just doesn't go along with her "sisters" and is always going for all the treats before others, etc. She even comes to peck my leg when I go into the coop if I'm not fast enough delivering her snacks. If I stop throwing out, she comes over and pecks. Too funny! She has been getting fussed at a lot lately. But, at least not painful!

When do you get to eat them? Or are these for eggs?
As for me, I made a trip to Walmart, and this morning I wrote a new article for HubPages. Other than that, nothing else planned except I have some pork steaks marinating that I will throw on the grill for dinner later.
