We can all read about the products we buy when they are at their best and when they are no longer good to use. Such products as tea bags, motor oil, paint, toothpaste, bar soap, hydrogen peroxide, running shoes, helmets, bug spray, mascara, loofahs, batteries, and moisturizers all have some expiration code.
But what about sunglasses? We all wear them. But did you know that they also have an expiration date? Sunglasses block harmful UV rays that could cause issues like cancer or cataracts. But these "sun specs" become less effective as time goes by partially from wear and tear that may cause the lenses to be scratched. But the sun also degrades the lenses. Sunglasses should be changed every couple of years to be sure you are getting the full protection of the lenses.

I did not know about that. I guess it is time to throw away my decades old sunglasses.

I always get the discounts on stuff over here at Target. The dates are always like expire on the next day or so.

I haven't been in Target for years. I live clear on the other side of town from the one we have here.
