Cloudy afternoon fellow Lotters and readers I hope you are all safe and well. I am sad when I found out about a news regarding a trainee doctor who died because she was sexually abused .I saw videos and photos of her when she was still alive and I cant imagine that a doctor who saves lives would suffer abuse and die. I mean what is happening?
Medical reports points out that according to her injuries it is said to be rape but the school principal or dean is saying that she committed suicide ...Her parents did not saw her body once they get to the place and it was already after some time that they were allowed to see her body.
It made me think why some men do this to women? Its not only in India that has a lot of numbers of cases of sexual abuse but it is happening around the world.
Is it really in the way women dress that some men have the urge to do it or is it in their mindset or mentality on how they see women in general.. She is a doctor trainee and she doesn't wear revealing clothes and if ever there is a woman who wears revealing clothes it doesn't give any man to abuse her or to look down on her..
She is a doctor who undergoes training so that she can still save lives but what did the men in her country do to her?
I am praying for the repose of their souls and that justice shall prevail.
Ladies protect yourselves too , do not be afraid to speak up if something happens.
Rest in peace Dr.Moumita and to all victims

i am still sometimes too troubled what to wear, even at my age but no, good or bad intentions are in the eyes of evil people. even if she wore shorts, she did nothing wrong. they are pule evil, these people who did this to her and i hope the hand of justice will find them and crush them.

This is what I believe regarding this matter, it is not what girls wear actually but how men think and see us ... Even boys this days can be sexually harrassed or abused. The best way to stop them is to not be afraid and ask for help .Speak up .

@iKONICNoona you are so right. and if that help is given, that's an important. i am also saddened how many times women refuse to help women and they were in the same shoes-

It's one of the many unfortunate incidences that's happening in the country and around the world. People are furious and protesting all over. But then there is also a lot of politicisation happening. It's unfortunate. This is not the first of it's kind and it is not going to be the last one either. Societal mindset needs to change.

I agree with you . If a certain individual 8s being harassed do not be afraid to speak up too. it is not what we wear , its the mindset .

@iKONICNoona Everything comes down to the mindset. The case is unfolding and more ugly skeletons are coming out of the closet. Even corruption is a mindset.
