8/27/24 - Update On My Husband

Unfortunately my husband didn't call last night so I have no idea how he did in physical therapy. I am getting more and more concerned that he is not going to be able to come home.
We plan on seeing him on Sunday after we drop off the equipment for Spectrum at the UPS Store.

About the time you give up & think the wrong way
things just might change for the better prayingly.
I know it's a draining mind boggling thing to deal
with everyday, & things just keep going all over
the place, you just have to keep strong for yourself.

No offense, but I just thought after reading yesterday's post, if he ever would come home. Then when I thought it, I thought to myself that I should not think that and pray he will come home at the right time.

I think with another month he may regain the strength that he lost from the COVID.

I hoping for September. If he just could get PT on the weekends, I know he would have already been home.

@TheHorse He has exercises that he can do in bed. He also could have one of the aides put him in a wheelchair (they don't have footrests); and he could "walk" around the facility.

@LindaOHio I certainly hope he can get home but it just doesn't seem likely. There have been so many setbacks.

I'm trying to stay positive. Maybe if he has another month to recover from the COVID he will make it home. It will be expensive; but it will be worth it.

@NJChicaa I hold my breath waiting for a call that will signal another problem. I would be totally devastated if he couldn't come home some day.

It takes a long time to recover from Covid, so that was a set back, but does not have to be permanent.

On September 1 another month of $$ will be due. I'm pretty sure it will take another month for him to recover fully from the COVID.

He can't live in assisted living. He needs skilled nursing care and physical therapy; and he would need to be mobile in assisted living. He's not there yet.
