Marriage Enrichment Retreat 1

Last August 23,24&25 we attended the Marriage Enrichment Retreat 1 courtesy of the Couples for Christ Community. My husband and I were very happy and we had the chance to talk about our present and future plans. The topics were so deep but the good news was we had our confession, and we took the sacrament of the holy communion and lastly we renewed our marriage vows. My heart is so happy that finally we could start our new life living far from my parents' house. Haven't I told that last May of this year we got kicked out again from our house by my not blood related person in my life my brother in law whom he also attempted to kill us and he also threatened us that he will not keep us alive. Imagine that person who has no any amount of rights from my grandparents' house kicked us out! But now my husband and I are so happy living alone by ourselves having our own timeline with our lives. Attending the said retreat made me realize that we have different roles in our married life. The role of a husband to be the protector and provider for the family and the role of a wife to be the home maker, and keeping the family tight as possible. But as for us, we don't have kids yet but we learned that as husband and wife we need to support each other's decisions, opinion and even disagreements.
