So I watched the Kamala/Trump debate from last night

BORING. I heard nothing new from either of the candidates. Trump pulled out his "we have a policy shortly" line but then topped it by saying he "has concepts of a plan" which obviously means he has no plan. Basically he always just reverted to "millions of criminals and people from mental institutions pouring into our country". Like Kamala warned--more of the same tired old playbook. And hey Donnie. . . do you mean your stupid border wall doesn't work? Kamala clearly came out on top but I didn't really notice the "she mopped the floor up with him" kind of thing. Trump lost because he is a loser and his mind is locked in 2020. Believe me I'd love to say that Kamala totally kicked butt. I think she did well. I just didn't get the same vibe that many commentators did. I did like that the ABC hosts fact-checked in real time. Of course there was a lot to fact-check with Trump. Today he said that ABC should have their broadcast license revoked because the debate (to which he agreed with all rules) was "rigged". He is so soft. He also is already declining a second debate against Harris. I guess the debate can be interpreted in various ways depending on what you know or believe in. I already know about Trump and Kamala. I already was voting for Kamala. I'm not that swing state independent voter. Honestly though I didn't see much that would move the needle much other than Kamala discussing abortion. Trump seems to have recognized that his performance wasn't good. He immediately showed up in the press "spin room" which isn't a common thing. And after proposing 3 debates he now says he doesn't want to do another one after this first one.

He immediately showed up in the 'spin room' and said (his exact words) "(we) won every one of the polls that came out tonight and there were quite a few of them." What a buffoon.

He has been making stuff up for decades now. He makes up random "poll numbers" on the daily.

Based from the fact checking , Trump's lies are too many to count and Harris only lied once.

Every single word out of Kamala Harris' mouth was a lie because her platform is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from what it was before she got the nomination. You really believe she believes what she is saying NOW? Good Lord!

I have no TV but picked up bits and pieces online, From what I know the debates are supposed to show people your intelligence not your lack of screws in the head alas for Trump it is inevitable that he comes out sounding bad,

I saw somebody who can handle the hard decisions a president makes in Harris. I didn't get a glimmer of that with Trump.

I hadn't heard about Trump saying the debate was rigged. Doesn't surprise me. Have a good day.

Kamala was much better. Or, better said, she was a reasonably intelligent human being who spoke well enough so that I could understand her well in spite my difficulties as a not native speaker (they did not have subtitles). Trump, on the other hand did not speak too clearly all the time but he did pronounce everything well when he talked about the immigrants eating pets and the Democrats killing children. He should have more aid so that he dosn´t say those things. It only helps me wonder how so many people vote for him. Kamala did not say anything too new or too brilliant. But anybody is better than Trump.

I think it turned out pretty much how we thought it would . . . it was just kinda entertaining to see how it actually played out. Kamala held her own and all Trump did was lie and bash. It didn't really seem like a debate, but oh well . . . for Trump not wanting to do another debate says something right there .

I highly enjoyed her inviting people to see a Trump rally and watching people leave early due to boredom and exhaustion.

Nothing new? Kamala Harris' platform is ENTIRELY NEW. Go look at her positions before she was the nom and after she got the nom. She's made a complete 360 here. If you don't know that, you have NO CLUE what the hell she was for BEFORE you decided she's right for the job. My God. This is frightening!

Said she was against fracking before the nom and says it now. Pro-choice policies before the nom and still now. Support for Israel and Ukraine before the nom and support now. Support for middle-class families before the nom and still now. Yup. ENTIRELY NEW.

I guess it was a stalemate. However, you have rightly pointed out Trump could not come on top and most of his thought process was old times. Thats not going to help Republicans or him. Personally attacking Kamala or talking about non-important things, will not help Trump with brownie points. I think he still belives he could get votes by saying the old stuff and formula. I am not sure if that would work. Kamala just avoided his attacks but then she also did not have great points. It is a stalemate and for challenger Trump that is not a good sign!
