Get Moving!

Good role models are some of the best people to have in one's life. I was reading recently of a 37 year -old fitness instructor who was influenced by his grandfather. His 84 year old grandad still does 500 push-ups thrice a week, and his 80 year old nanny walks 2 miles daily. Bring active as much as possible is a major health tool, and stories like these inspire us to get moving. Do you exercise? Pixabay image.

I hope I can be that active when/if I hit my 80s! I am in the habit now of exercising regularly . . . the goal is to keep that up for the rest of my life!!

My back and neck surgeon said I’m only allowed to walk, or get in a pool. The pool is out, so I do walk; it’s a good thing when you have a dog. But no, that’s not much exercise. I wish I were like that man’s grandfather!

We exercise more than we used to and we need to continue if Vince is to recover fully. And then we'll be keeping it up.

That's pretty impressive that his grandparents are still active at their ages. I know I don't move as much as I should

Such role models just inspires many. I am sure many mylotters including me have got that story inspiring. To be active in 80s is something most of us desire. While many find excuses to avoid physical workout , we look at these examples to keep us going. Being active is important for both physical and mental aspects. In fact , being active brings in lot of confidence to our minds. I keep time allocated for exericse. I am working towards adding variety and increasing time for physical workout.
