Papaya is never used to make halva but I had to as the fruit that we bought was insipid. Because of heavy rain our trees never came up
Rather than throw it away, I just scooped out the flesh, smashed it into pulp, added enough sugar and cooked it with cardamom powder, ghee and cashew nuts.
It has turned outquite tasty

Mine was almost like jam as I did not allow it to harden. I may apply it on bread.

Papaya is one of my favorite fruits but only if it teasts sweet and it's sufficiently ripe. It's a really good fruit that I never imagined could be used to make halva. I think you have discovered a new dish.

@allknowing Well, you had to think of something. But what you thought of was a good choice. It's jam is really great to eat. Though I don't like it personally.

I had to think of something as it did not taste good eating it. I used it as jam this morning for breakfast.

I hope to get to grow them. We always had them but this weather does not suit it as of now.
