Happy Tuesday Everyone! woke up to a very cloudy and overcast morning and figured it was going to be a rainy day. But, now the sun is peeking out so maybe it will be a nice day after alI.
The other day I was looking through my stash of yarn and came across some pretty skeins of 100% cotton. I don't remember why I bought these and had totally forgotten what project I might have had in mind.
So, I decided to crochet myself some dishcloths which are reuseable and since they're a nice size will also double as cleaning or dusting cloths. I've only made a couple so far and I think these will come in handy and will save on the amount of paper towels I use for cleaning. Of course I won't not use paper towels but with the price of everything these days having a reusable cloth for quick cleanups will offset expenses. Every penny saved is a help these days.
Plus, having a project to work on keeps me out of trouble
I have the usual things to do around the house today but right now I'm having my breakfast (grapes and a few slices of cheese) and of course a mug of coffee.
Time to see what's going on in the myLot world

That is a really great idea.
I still have and use some crocheted dusting and cleaning 'rags' that my mother made decades ago.
I used to really like to use the flannel (fold your own) diapers that I used on our son, but my hubs mistook them for garbage one day and threw them out, so her rags are appreciated.
It is a sunny and hot day here today.
I raised my morning coffee to you in celebration after I had my scope done this morning.
I was thinking of you.

@Marilynda1225 You sure can tell our age when say how great the old diapers were, we aren't talking about the paper diapers like we used when we went out with our children.
For how many are in our landfills, it is hard to believe that they are really only a generation old.

Cheers to our morning coffee. Hope your scope went okay. I know how nervous that makes you
Those diapers were the best for rags when our kids outgrew them Too bad your hubby tossed them

I'm on my second cup of coffee and just starting to get to work. I'm at Chris's house for that job with my laptop open working online too. I'm hoping to get us a little breathing room soon. I'm also prepping for the event this Saturday. OMG! It's this Saturday! lol I'm slightly freaking out lol.
Have a great day!

Oh yes the rising cost of everything these days is insane, every penny we can save helps for sure! I hope you enjoyed breakfast. Have a blessed day!

Today is Mid-Autumn Festival in Hong Kong. But we're not in mid-Autumn. In fact, we have a record high temperature of 36C. It's so hot that I have to stay inside turning on the a/c almost the whole day.

Being at an Autumn festival in such hot weather doesn't sound like fun.
