Do You Ever Wish You Could Run Away From Home?

September 17, 2024 4:16pm CST
I don't want to run away from my husband, but maybe the rest of our families and this city that is getting worse and worse with violent crime. But we're pretty rooted here. Plus the grass is never greener on the other wise. So I guess we'll just weather the storm and get through it. But the dream of running away with no cares or responsibilities sounds nice, doesn't it?

I guess so. I am really praying for you and your whole family. I think wherever we go its not safe, but wherever God is we know we are safe. My friends and some of my dearest cousins leave already our town, and asking me why we are still stock in this old city of ours.. They say its not safe here also, but we live here my whole life, and I know a lot of people here, my parents friends are here, and some good relatives are here. There is no reason for us to live on another place. I guess I never had that kind of big responsibilities yet, but for me, to keep my sanity, I just want to deal with my problems at once, but its not possible hehehe it always takes time specially when there are people involves... I can't control them. Waahhhh but I would love to have a vacation or I just wish I can go to different coffee shop to unwind once in awhile. God bless, and stay pretty, stay cool, and always find positivity in your heart.

I've had to do a lot of adulting since my husband's been gone. I could do with a little less of that. Other than that, I love my life with my husband. Have a good day.

I've never considered running. I know that's no real way to live.

@louavul I ran away from home when I was 17 but then I got hungry and returned before my parents realised. They still don’t know.

In a way, yes. I've got my eye on Florida for the winters. It will happen at some point. What stops me more than anything right now is that my mom is sick with dementia and I want to spend as much time with her as I can.

@porwest I'm sorry to hear about your mom. You might remember that I have the early beginnings of dementia, but I take two Dementia medications and that has staved off the progression really well. If this information helps any, I take Aricept and Namenda.

@LouAvul I think my mom is on those too. Not sure it is helping, but who knows?

The idea was great when I had six children living at home. Now just my husband and me no more wanting to run away.

Yes, sometimes I want to be alone, so I just take a walk away from our home, then after this, I return to my home.
