Seafood Thursday / myLot

Went to physical therapy today, so Tom took me out to eat. We haven't been out in a while. We decided to go to Gene's Oyster Bar. They have a special seafood sampler. It contains 2 small fillets of Grouper, 6 fried shrimp, 6 fried Oysters, and a side. We had Onion rings. I am STUFFED! Don't even want a dessert tonight I am so full. I left hushpuppies and a couple of onion rings. Could not eat another bite. Gene's has been in business since 1969. The new owner has upgraded things, added Fried Mullet, Onion Rings, and Beer. Could not believe Oysters were $18 a dozen! I remember buying oysters in 1995 for like $3.99 a dozen...and thought that was a little high. They used to go for $1.99. Anyway, Gene's hasn't lost its friendliness with the Shuckers...still having fun conversations.

Oh..sorry about that. I can't eat oysters raw anymore due to being a diabetic. Love my seafood.

@Ghostlady — it’s okay. Fish tastes “fishy” to me, so I didn’t care much for it when I tried to eat it. Then that night in Myrtle Beach in 1973….

(You know it was bad if I remember it after 51 years!) I’m like those Chick Fil-A cows, “eat more chicken,” so that leaves more seafood for you!

@FourWalls I can't eat Any seafood that Smells fishy..I have actually sent a grouper meal back as it was not fresh...wasn't rotten or anything, but the smell made me queasy. Asked them to bring me Shrimp instead. I hear you about dates..LOL I have a few in my head..not about seafood, but I get it.

Meat of any kind is a high ticket item. It's going t be hit the most by inflatin sadly.

Was walking and a pain went through the back of my right knee. Affected the calf of my leg. Was told it was bruised, but I did not hit it on anything...did not twist my foot or anything...just walking. Weird. It is a lot better, but they are also working on my ankle as I have damaged it through the years with sprains playing basketball, and brok both bones in that leg. My right side is pretty much a mess...LOL from my neck down to my foot, from multiple injuries. Therapy is helping though.
