My friend had brought me 3 avocados a long time ago I did not like them but since they are good for health I ate them somehow. I planted the seeds and now I have two avocado trees and hope they will start yielding soon. I must try and get to like them and will search the Net for recipes that will enhance their taste. How do you eat your avocados?

Oh, I love avocados! I can eat them on their own, but I especially enjoy them for breakfast. I put slices on my toast with a sunny side egg. If I want something tasty, I scrape the meat into a bowl, add milk and ice cubes, and sweeten it with sugar to taste. It’s such a delicious cold treat!

I think adding milk and sugar should be a nice way to eat it.

@allknowing avocado with milk-ice. You can use evaporated milk. Some would use sweet condense milk as their sweetener instead of sugar. I hope you got to try this. You might at least like eating it this way. The milk and it being sweet and ice cold makes the difference. This is more of a dessert.

I love avocados, I often prepare the Mexican guacamole, or I cut in half, slice, season with a mix of olive oil, lemon juice, salt and chopped chives and serve with shrimps, or even with canned tuna. You need to season because the avocado is quite tasteless.

@allknowing It's no more fuss than to prepare a mixed salad and to season it and I surely like more an avocado than lettuce.

I love guacamole, but even that I eat in small doses. I can’t take too much avocado at one time. There is something about the texture that is occasionally hard for me to tolerate.

I love avocados and eat them very ofter. Usually I just mash them and eat them for breakfast with a piece of bread. But they are delicious as appetizers (look for a guacamole recipe). I also dice them and include them in a green salad.

I don't like avocados, but as you have mentioned they are good for health so somehow I eat sandwiches. Though even that is also a difficult task for me.

I quite like them but don't buy them often. They're usually pretty pricey. I just checked and grown from seed they can take 5-13 years before they fruit.
