Lazy Day

Took the day off...well...I DID wash dishes...but nothing else. Tom fixed Sausage Dogs on the grill. I usually buy store brand bread/buns, but Grocery Outlet doesn't have a brand...only Name Brand buns like Wonder Bread. So I knew I needed buns for the sausage dogs and decided on Wonder Bread brand. Have not bought name brand buns in years now. But I noticed the last time I bought Walmart brand buns, they tasted different, and the bottom of the bun was ultra Thin! I opened up the Wonder Bread hotdog buns tonight..OMG..not only were they cut perfectly and both sides were the same, they didn't come apart when I put the sausage in them. Even with onions, jalapenas, and mustard they stayed together. And the Taste...SOOO good...like Real Bread use to taste. Will NEVER buy cheap buns ever again!

Have never ordered groceries. I am real picky when it comes to produce and meats. I have watched the people picking orders for customers at Walmart...No Way, I could let them pick out my meat or produce. Maybe other things though.

@Ghostlady When it comes to meat and produce, I'm the same. If George wants a product bad enough, He either goes without or we grab a car and go to the store in-person. I don't personally make a habit of in-person shopping because we're relying on public transit.

You work on Saturday? Wow...During the season, Tom works on Sat. Now that things have slowed down, he only works on Sunday and Monday.

@Ghostlady My busiest working days are Saturday and Sunday. Weekends are the best time for virtual teachers to grab the chance to teach non-native speakers online.

I haven't ironed anything in years. Not sure my iron even works now. I only have 2 blouses that I could say should be ironed if I don't get them out of the dryer in time, but rarely wear them. I mostly wear T-shirts now that I am retired. And Tom's shirts are stain resistant and never need ironing. Sometimes I actually miss ironing...gives you a feeling that you have accomplished something when you are done.

I tried Walmart's Great Value Bread. It was really dry. I tried Bimbo Bread; and it was a winner!!! Have a good day.

I remember Bimbo Bread. Don't have that down here. You are so right about Great Value..so Dry compared to Wonder.

I think you enjoyed your meal. I am planning to prepare a sandwich for midnight snacks but my mom saw me! So I have to go back in the room and pretend sleeping... she always want me to sleep at night, and do all my errands in the morning, well I understand that she's just looking after my health... but I really can't sleep. I might go out later and find something to eat later.
have a great day... when I feel lazy I just watch korean dramas or variety shows.

I too had a relaxing day after a busy day. Woke up in time but I started late with things. Looked at my to-do list and completed few things and rest needs to be completed by Sunday night. It would be busy days for me for sometime as lot of tasks are there for completion. Hopefully , the earlier I complete , I would have some relaxation time. I did make some calls and did the things leisurely and did not rush with things. Would look to get thing sorted as much as I can in next few days . Looks like you had a great day relaxing and having good food.Enjoy your weekend.
