Cancel to buy the stand-up board

A few weeks ago my husband and I saw several people played the stand-up board in the river and it seems to be fun. Since the National Holiday is coming, I planned to buy it so that we can also have fun during the vacation. I told my dad about it but he said no as he thought it was dangerous. Although I don't really need his permission but I will send it to his house as it's nearby the river and he has a big house to store this. So I had to cancel to buy it in case he doesn't feel happy to it. Probably I will buy it when we go to my husband's hometown next time. His parents won't say no

Is the river deep and can you all swim? I guess it's only dangerous if you fall off the board!!

I won't go far from the bank and I will also wear the life jacket even if I can swim. I am also a person who care about the safety.

They don’t seem dangerous to me. They seem kind of tame compared to other things.

Here a lot of people do Stand-up padel but the boards are expensive, at least for me. I hope your in-laws agree to keep it.

The inflatable stand-up board will be less expensive and I think it suits for the beginners.

Maybe if it is dangerous you should not get it.
