I Think I Hate Folding Clothes.

I have been doing this for over a decade and am still complaining. Hear me out. I like keeping it clean -- the house, clothes and all that. I like doing the laundry and hanging them to dry. But I wouldn't say I like folding clothes after they are dry. It costs a lot of time for me when I can be doing something more. Maybe a robot or AI can do that for me soon??? Good thing I will just put the folded clothes in line according to the owner and they will have to get their clothes to put in their cabinets. It is a good day to do laundry again. But this time it's bedsheets and comforters.

I don't mind the folding, it's getting them put away that I sometimes have a hard time getting done. It's all a process, I get the laundry done as time allows--sometimes, it doesn't all get folded at the exact time it should, but hey, my family has to come before the laundry, it can wait a bit if it has to.

@rakski It truly does. Sometimes, I get behind a bit but caring for my son has to be my priority right now. Thank you.

Yeah, I’m not a fan of folding clothes either, but I’ve found ways to make it more enjoyable. If you come up with a special method for folding, it can actually become more fun. Personally, I like organizing my clothes, and that’s what makes the process interesting for me most of the time

@Ggina1234 Agreed, envisioning the end result helps with motivation. I like seeing my laundry folded and organized as much as I like looking at a painting, it's art.

Since we do not have a dryer, I hang it there but I cannot let it stay there for a few days

I iron most of our clothing and after I have ironed I fold. This is not something I dislike to do. I hate washing dishes.

I also don't like doing this housework. In fact I even thought about buying a folding clothes board as well as what I saw from Big Bang Theory. Sheldon used it to fold the clothes well.

not all households here have dryers since we do not have winter here. It is rainy season here but we do not have typhoons so it is still sunny and hot. The clothes after the machine will be hung to dry faster

Folding clothes isn't something I enjoy either but when it comes to sheets and comforters I hate that even more, Lately I've been washing, drying and putting the sheets back on the bed so I don't have to fold them.

Maybe I'm the same as you, I think folding clothes is a boring activity because it will take a very long time because I'm also a little lazy about it. Maybe in the future there will be AI for this problem?

Well, it is boring and physical work. I have experienced it .In case it is a big family , that is time consuming. Bedsheets , blankets and comforters are also challenging. I have not been holding some of the items properly and would be guilty on not seeing properly done. For clothes atleast I would press thm in case formal clothes . Indoor clothes I just hold them. Guess rolling blankets and comforters would be the easiest thing to do instead of holding. I never enjoyed them. Guess a robot would serve as well for doing these monotonous activities in our daily lives. I am pretty sure that many would buy such robots!

As far as actual clothes go, my father used to "military roll" his rather than folding and that seemed to be ideal for him. Granted I wouldn't suggest doing it with dress shirts or something like that, but tshirts and pants or shorts? Definitely. Linens are a little more complicated.

I do the military roll when I hike or go out on a trip before. For pants and shorts , I fold them rather small

Folding bedsheets and comforters is fun if you got someone to help you with that, otherwise it's a nice full-body exercise. Overall, I find folding to be relaxing. You should watch a movie or listen to music while performing that chore, while you wait for the robot.

I fold and fold then roll the comforter into smallest possible size then put inside a plastic bag. Yes, it is a whole body exercise
