What?
Well, got the first woman asking for Connie. But not by Constance. No, by Mrs. Crouch.
I told her: "there was no Mrs. Crouch" - because her mother remarried after the divorce. And her mother died in 1999.
I then said that "it was Miss Crouch, but she isn't here."
"Are you Mrs. Crouch?"
"No."
"Well, are you on Medicare?"
I paused then said: "Yes, but you have to talk to my insurance company run by the State."
"Are you sure that Mrs. Crouch isn't there?"
"It is Miss Crouch and she is not here." Then I told her: "Because she's dead."
"Miss Crouch? She's not there?"
"No, I told you, she's dead."
"Oh, sorry."
"You need to update the records, she's been dead a while."
"I'll do that."
Do I believe her?
No.
Just... just... what would you do?

Ignore and block them. They are going to try and get any money they think is owed, reguardless of a person's living status.

When I used to get calls for my husband, I would tell the person "No such animal" and hang up.

Normally they ask for "Constance" which is her first name. The guy yesterday asked for Miss Crouch because he couldn't say her first name, obviously not a native English speaker. The gal today asked for Mrs. Crouch. Well, that would've been her mother if her mother hadn't remarried. Constance never married, she had pretty bad taste in men, most of the turned out to be gay.
