Hello, October! + my 10-minute chair yoga exercises

It's nice to see a lot of Autumn posts and pictures since October came in. I'm sure that some of you are loving the Fall. I hope to experience Fall again next year - hopefully somewhere in the Northern Hemisphere. Meanwhile, I've been trying to savor the gloomy weather here in my country as it's currently the wet season, and rains are my thing. I just wish there's a better way to deal with flooding. Also, I've been doing 10-minute chair yoga exercises. I never thought I'd enjoy these stretches. I tried seated yoga exercises like 20 years ago and loved them. So, I suppose chair yoga is something that would be fun to try too. I just follow the chair yoga videos posted by yes2next on YT. I love this mum-and-daughter tandem. It feels like I'm actually doing the exercises with them in my house. I enjoy all the chatting while exercising and stretching. Are you guys looking forward to anything this October?

i thought you were in pain but this is a good exercise with or without pain yes, autumn, constant raining and all those leaves on my shoes, ah

I do get body aches quite often, so I try to exercise at least 3x/week. It also helps to get some sunshine in the morning and late in the afternoon. Enjoy your autumn leaves!

It's good that you are exercising. Tomorrow is our 54th anniversary. Unfortunately my husband is still in rehab; so we will celebrate there. Have a good day.

Awww, happy 54th anniversary to the two of you. I am amazed at your dedication and love for each other. May you have more anniversaries to celebrate, and I hope that next year, the celebration will be somewhere else but the rehab. Have a good weekend!

I am just enjoying the cooler weather. Saturday it was a hot and humid 94 degrees, but today it only got up to 73 degrees. I much prefer that over the stifling heat. Your chair yoga sounds very beneficial.

I'm glad you're enjoying the cooler temps. I heard there's a cold snap in some parts of the US. I do the chair yoga when I'm too lazy to do my usual 30-minute exercises. I love the idea of being able to stretch while seated on a chair. It's so convenient.

Chair exercises would suit me as well as I am not allowed to be vigorous when it comes to my lower limbs such as doing exercises standing

They are surprisingly effective in some ways, and to think that we've always associated sitting to just being sedentary.

Every day is a battle, but hopefully not without a blessing or two. I pray that George improves. Hang in there. I took care of my mum and dad when they were both very sick. I don't even remember how I managed back then.

Yoga is one of my mood boosters. I just do the basic stretches and combine them with other beginner/intermediate workouts.

It is. I love how it stretches parts of my body. I've followed two different videos. I think I like the second one more than the first.
