No, I have been living in a cave with blinders on my entire life. I would hazard a guess that 98 percent of the people in the world are familiar with the Coca Cola brand. What kind of question is that? I would have thought of a better way to phrase that..it just seems really goofy. If you do surveys, what is the craziest question you have had lately?

It was comparing and contrasting Coke with a healthy brand.

@somewitch I don;t watch TV, and I get these surveys about this TV person and that. But they always have a "bot checker" question in there, like "Do you recognize this person," and it's Michael Jackson or Michael Jordan.

@TheHorse I thought the same, it must be some anti-bot question.

That is strange. The Coke one is weirder though IMHO.

@snowy22315 I just think the inkiling on dying was simply morbid.

@AmbiePam Yes, but did it make sense in the context of the survey?

I hates surveys, lol! The fact that they are too long and many questions to ask, but at the end, they will not qualify you... hehehehe... The only survey that I love is from the Starbucks, lol! If you are lucky to get one of their surveys you will have a free venti drinks... lol!

if you were so sure, why did you reserve 2% of your guess on people who aren't aware of Coca Cola as a brand?? the premise of designing a survey question is always of the fact that "consumers have no idea" and thus questions start developing...if one has to assume everything, then why to take surveys

@Rimps85 They may not care about it, but I am quite certain they have seen a Coca Cola can.

I would suffice it to say 100 percent of people who have the internet on their computers know what Coca Cola is.

@snowy22315 actually not....there might be people who would have computers connected with internet, still they care less about existence about Coca Cola...since we tend to think world to be exactly same as it is around us, we end up with these biases, whereas in reality things are different...in many countries, Coca Cola doesnt operate as a front face, but acquired local brands of cola to kill competition...

I could only think of two logical reasons why the question was there. One could be to check if you are really attentive and doing the surveys properly. The second would be to evaluate if there are places in the globe where Coca Cola is not still known. Even if the reason was second one , they should have checked the demographics before such questions are pushed across. Other than these two reasons, I do think it was crazy to have the question in the first place . Personally , I do not recollect seeing any crazy questions while doing surveys. Atleast not this silly enough question!

It wasn't an attention queatuon. IT was a compare and contrast question.
