This morning when I got up it was pea soup fog outside. But I thought that means it's going to be a nice day, because there's not much cloud around. And I was not wrong. But I still wore a coat because, even though it was sunny,it's October and there's still a bit of a chill in the air.
My Mum gave me her and Syd's repeat prescriptions to take into the pharmacy for them. She gave me her Tesco club card, shopping list and £30.
I set off at about 10:30am and went round the top path round Stowe Pool. When I was walking round Stowe Pool I saw Joan who used to live next door, and I spent about 15 minutes talking to her.
I went to the toilet by the Cathedral, then I went and got some photos printed. I also got 3 photocopies done, one of some chess pieces and two of a horse, one in black and white and one in colour. That cost me £3 something.
Next I went and dropped in Mum and Syd's repeat prescriptions, they will be ready next Friday, and then I went to Holland and Barrett. I got 3 packets of the raspberry flavoured liquorice because they were on 3 for 2, so they cost £7.98.
Then I went to the down town Tesco. Outside of Tesco I saw this really tiny cute black poodle. In the shop I wanted some strawberries, but they didn't have them again, so I thought I'll get them from Iceland again. But I did manage to get some Alpen cereal with no added sugar for my Mum.
After that I went to The Works. I was looking for some acrylic paper, but they didn't have any exactly. They had canvas paper and mix media paper so I got some of those. The canvas paper cost £4 and the mixed media paper cost £7 so that was £11 in total. I said I didn't want a bag today, and just put them in the trolley.
Lastly I went to Iceland (the shop not the country!) and I got some sweet and sour chicken for my Mum. My Mum wanted me to get a Chinese Style Chicken curry for Syd, but they didn't have any. Then I saw a notice where the price was. It said PRODUCT RECALL. The chicken curry has been recalled due to Peanut Allergy Contamination. If you have any with such and such dates on do not eat it, bring it back in for a refund! So I got a Chicken Chow Mein for Syd instead.
Next I went to get the strawberries and then I went to pay. When the lady asked me if I wanted the receipt I said, No thanks, you're alright! That's what I always say!
Then I went back to the toilet by the Cathedral, and then I went home. My Mum still wasn't back from the house group that meets at Church yet, so I put her club card, shopping list and change on the coffee table, and the coins in a little pot on the coffee table. Then I unpacked the groceries and put them away.
I had my lunch and watched some telly. When Mum came home I told her about my day, told her about seeing Joan and told her about why I couldn't get the Chinese Style Chicken curry
What have you lot been getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

Today I joined with my teacher daughter in their Teacher's day celebration inside the City's gym. This activity is on cahoots with the World Teacher's Day.

@sharonelton Again I successfully managed a trip to a Greek supermarket in 30 degree heat. There aren’t many public loos in Greece and the only one my wife found was disgusting. Fortunately we need to stop in cafes often for a cold drink and they all have Lois but the standard is generally quite grim.

@sharonelton You would think that by now people could have learned the proper use of the facilities.

I'm glad you managed to get to a supermarket, but I'm sorry that the public loos were disgusting! It's not nice when you want to go to the loo and the toilets are grim!

@xFiacre Don't they have cleaners going in? Our toilets in Lichfield are cleaned every day.

@sharonelton No, it wasn't very thick at all. I've had to drive in a pea souper and it wasn't much fun at all.

@JudyEv Oh, that's good then. At least it wasn't too bad. We've driven through a pea souper too and we could hardly see past the front of the car. We had to go very slowly! No, it wasn't much fun!

Was it a pea souper? Our fog did dissipate quite quickly. It was gone before I went shopping.

Wow, you went to many places!
I stayed home. It wasn't raining but I had the weekly self-care routine to attend to, as I'm likely to be busier with other stuff during the weekend.
