Well I got my big project accomplished for today. I also posted some and earned a couple of pennies. Still slow-going, but I'm sure I'll have time to make up for it later in the month if I put in the effort.
Looks like Milton is the next hurricane to hit our state and should be here by Wednesday. I know that seems like a long way off, but not really. It'll be over open water and has a shorter distance to travel. The west coast of Florida is going to take another hit. I feel for them. Parts of Florida that were flooded are expected to get more flood-like conditions ahead of the storm. In fact We're expecting rain, even if I don't hear anything.
George is doing well. All meds given, one tube feed to go.

I hope Milton doesn't strengthen too much. The Floridians have been through enough.

It already has. I saw the 5 A.M. advisory and it's already a tropical storm. Predicted to be a major hurricane by landfall Wednesday.

@rakski Well, a dryer and washer are a must where I live. I'm thankful Laundry day is Monday and we'll have everything clean for the upcoming storm.

Based on reports, this one is going to have a more direct inpact. While light right now, we're already getting the predicted rain ahead of the storm. In this case, is a bad thing.

I just hope Milton fizzles, but from what I have heard and read, he won't...hopefully it won't be as deadly as this last one was, and they are still working on all of that.

@LovesEverybody It won't. No matter where in Florida it hits, it's going to cut across and we'll see some inpacts. That's how it works. I'd love to go to the store, but I don't drive and taking George out in public is a task in a half.

@kaylachan yes, go to the grocery store. Be prepared. Let's just hope it chooses to miss where you live.

It will. it'd have to swerve a lot, and that's just not going to happen.

Feminine-named hurricanes are usually more dangerous, so Milton won't be as bad hopefully. It's just that those affected by Helene will have a harder time recovering from the damage. Stay safe!
And well done on washing the sheets and making the bed.

One year we had three of those suckers cross our state within days of each other. We've got people on the ground doing around the clock clean up to help minimize damage. It's a cluster f crap shoot, really.
