Marble cake - what is your favorite cake?

Rainy days for me are days to stay at home and bake cakes. 
Yesterday I made marble cake, my kids love it and it's super easy to do. After making the dough for a simple cake, we separate half of the dough and add chocolate. We end up with two doughs, one simple and the other chocolate, when we pour the dough into the mold we can pour it at the same time or one first and then the other. The cake looks beautiful when we cut it.
Today at breakfast, the cake was all eaten. I think I have to do another one

Your cake was a success! I like the marble cake, simple but soft and delicious. 
My favorite would be either pear cake or apple cake. Oh, and the pancake. That's also good.

@nela13 Yes but used a colour and not chocolate. At the moment my favourite cake is date and walnut

@allknowing I never had date cake, I imagine it doesn't need sugar as dates are quite sweet.

I haven't had marble cake in ages but I do remember making it years ago. I actually forgot about it.
When I bake a cake I usually stick with a plain vanilla cake with vanilla frosting. Maybe a sprinkle of coconut on top.

sounds really good. I don't bake cakes. But I do like to eat them. My favorite is German chocolate. I also like red velvet and carrot cake.

I love any form of lemon cake, as well as a cinnamon coffee cake. Oh, and I do love a teeny, tiny piece of wedding cake at a wedding. It's always so good, but I surely do not need it!

It looks marvellous! I am pretty sure it would have tasted great. No wonder it got over by breakfast time. I wish I lived in your neighbourhood. You should share your experiences in baking and I am sure most of us would love those insights. I love marble cake and practically all cakes. Do not remember any cake which I disliked so far. I love black forest cake and chocolate cakes. Blac forest and chocolate truffle cakes remain my favourites. However, I am big consumer of cakes and do not bake. I am not good at baking and never learnt or tried the same. But then I can always appreciate a good baker and cakes. Enjoy the week!
