Red, orange and yellow alert. Do you also have these alerts due to bad weather?

Today there is an orange alert for my area due to bad weather. They use these colors to indicate how hard we can be hit. Well, at least it's not a red alert for my area. Since Sunday we have had strong rain and wind. Today it looks like it's going to get even worse I have laundry to do and I will do it anyway even though I don't have a clothes dryer, I'm going to put it in the garage to dry. I hate it when the rain lasts for many days. I heard on the news this morning that a hurricane is going to hit the United States. I hope none of you are in the path of the hurricane. Do you also have these alerts due to bad weather?

We have that color codes in rainfall. Red warning means serious flooding and residents should be ready to evacuate to safety. Orange warning means intense rains.Yellow warning means low-level imoacts.

I hope they aren't affected and the hurricane isn't as strong as they are predicting.

@nela13 well, it is better to be prepared and safe than to underestimate it. Hurricane Helene gave an overwhelming shock

My daughter has those alerts where she lives depending on the activity of the Villarrica volcano.

Yes, we also have those alerts and for today is a red one. We did not move from home and the little brook in front of us looks pretty scary today.

Yes, but I haven't disclosed my country yet, have I? Orange weather alert is no fun but at least it is not red. Hopefully your area is safe from floods or other natural disasters. True, some people in the US have it much worse. I really hope those living in Milton's path are taking as many precautions as possible. Unfortunately it could hit a large area in Florida.

No, we still don't know where are you from. I hope Milton isn't as strong as they say, I would be very worried if I lived there.

We have similar alerts. I don't like when it rains several days straight either.

Mostly we get these alerts when there are bushfires around. It's good you can dry clothes in the garage.

Yes, it can also be used when there is a risk of fires. It is the only way I have to dry my clothes when it is raining.
