On stormy days it should be allowed to miss work.

Today, there is such a strong storm that leaving the house should be forbidden. We could miss work, not go to school, and cancel all our commitments. The wind was so strong that I thought I was going to fly when I got out of the car. I didn't even try to open the umbrella because otherwise, it would fly away. I was trying to stay upright when I heard a bang, in front of my work there is a restaurant "Taberna Londrina" and the awning in front of the door fell due to the wind. I parked my car away from trees and buildings, you never know what might fall. There are fallen trees, branches, and tiles that have flown off, it's really dangerous. I hope your weather is better than what we have here. Picture of the restaurant in front of my work.

Today is cloudy and dark but it stopped raining. I agree that it would be safer if most offices would let people stay at home.

Now it is better here but during the day it was awful. In the ideal society no one would leace house in such a bad weather but unfortunatelly we don't live in perfect society. It seems tomorrow it will be better.

I agree with you, when those kinds of winds occur it is much safer to simply stay home.

It is safer and it would avoid many accidents but we know that is not possible.

I think that days like that, which can be dangerous, are up to the individual. If you stay at home you shouldn't be subject to questioning but you should also not get paid. When we have bad winter storms, many who live out in the country cannot make it into town to go to work, that is understandable. I have been in that predicament many a time.

I don't live in the city, I need to drive around 15 kilometres every day. We never know what we will find on the road.

Those winds must be really strong to knock down that awning. I wouldn't want to go out to work in weather like that either.

Ouch! Absolutely, the situation should have been taken far more seriously. I hope the storm is over by the time you finish work. Here the weather is better, thanks. A short break from the rain that should come back this evening.

It certainly does seem dangerous when the wind is that strong.

We don't often have such really strong winds here but you're right. It can be very dangerous. It's a good idea to try to park the car safely out of danger.

A lot of cars were damaged yesterday, many things were flying and falling. Today it is better, thank God.
