He didn't call again last night.
His 2nd cousin will be coming today to work on my to-do list and moving things out of the way that may impede my husband's walker. We are still figuring out how we will get him from the car and into the house.
I haven't worked on the appeal form. Spent 2 hours with the Kinetic tech and on the phone with Kinetic trying to get the landline thing figured out. They screwed up again; and we won't have service for another 5-14 days. They will be giving us credit for those days. Yeah right.
Thank you for your continued prayers, support and thoughts.

I’d ask them for a restoration of your old service in place of a credit for lost days….

I am sure it all must feel overwhelming to you and your housekeeper cousin. Then to throw tech troubles into the mix is enough to make your blood pressure go sky high.

It's going to be hard across the gravel. We have been discussing ways to get him inside.

@sallypup He's going to have to walk with a walker about 10 feet to the garage.

@porwest Very bad homecoming. Had to call 911 once; and now he's lying on the floor.

Good luck. Most people just use cellphones though. I have a home connect phone, but it is really a cell line that plugs into normal phones. It rarely gets used.

We need our landline for the alarm system and also as a backup.

Hope it wont' be hard getting your hubby into the house when he gets home.
I really hope Kinetic credits you for the days you've been without your phone. How crazy they can't get it up and running before 2 weeks.

@LindaOHio so now you have two providers for tv, internet, and phone instead of one like with spectrum?

@lovebuglena Yes. I thought we could get it all with DISH; but they don't have internet and phone.

Just one foot at a time. Does your home have hand rails?

There are handrails on the 3 steps up from the garage. That's one of our biggest concerns.

@LindaOHio I hope it's not too late, but can you get a car in there? If you can make it possible, clear enough space so your cousin can drive the car into the garage or as close to it as physically possible. When you get to the steps, simply put his walker at the top, have your cousin get behind him and have him use the handrails to climb the stairs. That's how a physical therapist would do it.

@kaylachan It's too tight to maneuver easily out of the car. There will be two people there...one behind and one by his side.
