Who wants to work a certain job if your paycheck is always late?

Teaching assistant to children with difficulties is the person, at least here, who is employed by school, gets a contract from school but their paycheck is different that ones from regular school staff. Why?
Except this is not a full time position, this person gets a payment from their city's educational department and guess what, their paycheck is always late cause the city didn't pay the schools from its special funds. My ex school didn't receive the funds, that's what they say. School staff gets their paycheck from the government though and will never understand the position you are in yet will ask you for patience.
I paid my bills before but it is the most horrible feeling knowing that school staff is one caste and you're another but you should all get along while being unequal. And, also, seeing my low budget on my account, i feel both numb and angry.
Question is, who wants to work a job if your paycheck is always late and for other things as well, if you you are not respected?

@grenery8 Some companies have a good standard of management and they value their staff and believe they are their backbone

@allknowing this was sponsored by european union, by outside but question is were funds set by outsiders or insiders. working this stressful job and not getting paid on time is more stressful and i'll not going back to this; i developed ptsd from everything, i feel. i sent now an email to a secretary who made my contract and asked her what is her responsibility in making invalid contract. they claim to be ignorant but why are they joining this process. i curse them.

@MarshaMusselman i am actually having an interview on thursday,in different city for taking care of children in dormitory, university degree is asked.i'm taking my chances.it is testing,in oral form but i'll go,so i won't regret later.for other places with university degree, like this one, they are not responding back and i've been applying for years.not sure how was back in your time but, here, noone cares.yet that doesn't mean i will give up just, after 10ish years after my graduation,i often myself disappointed how job market and job buro are 2 diffent things.in fact, they are helping in fixing jobs for other people.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I wouldn't stay in this job if I had a choice. But there are bills to pay, so I'll probably stick to it until I find a job that pays on time. Is there ever a chance that this matter will be resolved soon?

I am of the same opinion as you.i even sent emails to authorities, who are presenting it's all lovely when in reality it isn't, but they aren't responding and no, i didn't get my payment, still. I mean, how would they feel about their paycheck being late and i wish they ban this position one day. It is meaningless.

That sucks, for sure. I know a few government employees who get their checks late, but I guess they got used to it eventually. I think the main issue in your case is that you're treated differently, as you said, as if you were from a lower caste, and that probably makes you feel isolated, which is the worst thing you can feel in the workplace. It's not that people need to talk to each other all the time, but being around people who make you feel safe and comfortable is the least you can ask for.

And if their paycheks were higher, it would be worth waiting and knowing for how long. This is so low and it brings me back to awful memories 5years ago, that nothing changed on good. By this speed and care, i think i'll get my payment on friday but who knows, maybe not. But my contract is not valid if they are late but i have noone to complain and this will go under the rader, of course.
you are right;if schools, teachers, parents would help out,ask for less, engage more and maybe force authorities or just ask when employees of this position would get their payment, things would be different but, again, they don't treat us as their employees;even outside worker would get better treatment . No, they are standing aside and pretending they know how it's like.in one school, i dared to ask can they make a phone call. Secretary was shocked and headmaster walked in and started acting rude to me,saying who do i think i am. That is the real truth but hidden to many.
payment for teachers and all school staff is until the 10th and was never late and if something bothers them, they immediatelly go on strike. What a privilege.

@grenery8 That's unfair, really You were like a minority, oppressed by the majority. There are so many laws to protect minorities and lots of awareness campaigns... and then they fail at this. Would you be able to teach at a school for special needs kids only? If there's any in your area.

@somewitch i honestly don't want anything with special needs children or instutions of that kind, my mental health and dignity had it enough. I received an info that some schools got the funds yesterday in the evening and paid their assistants. Is my ex school an exception or is this a personal vendetta cause i left and wrote emails, not sure but it is so unfair and lacks humanity.with other employers, i got it on the 15th exact, which is stressful waiting too but being late, there is no room for a conversation, never.

That's so sad to know. Actually that's very disappointing knowing they are the government, and they should think of the employees' welfare.

And whom to complain but, secretaries could phone the city if they cared a bit bit they won't. My contract isn't valid when they are late but,no,they are protecting among themselves and i feel they would pay me on friday, sick people.in 5years that i started working this job, nothing has changed, sadly.

oh we have another thing in common, except for being from Balkans
i don-t understand that difference either. but in Bosnia it was different - last time i checked in my hometown, there were so many kids that needed help, but the school "couldn't" employ enough special education workers. how crazy is that?! probably not enough people from certain parties
i hope you get a better job

That's that, parties. O,they, schools do complain, almost crying their eyes out yet, in reality, you are on your own and everyone is pulling you the way they want to.maybe i had better children before to watch out on them but these days, everyone wants to use a person in this position and they don't care if you will get your paycheck or not. Thank you so much. i wish that day happens

Simple answer : no one! You should try for a permanent position while continuing in same. I agree, it would not be easy. If you need to upgrade in a certain area, do same and apply for a better post. It is a horrible feeling not to get paid on time and worse staying at a place when you are unequal in many ways. Unfortunately , the rules are not helping . So , my suggestion just upgrade if needed in an area of your interest and then start applying for jobs in that area. Sometimes, we need to make the best of a bad situation , to get to a better or best situation. Good luck!
