Water hyacinth loves rain

As I open the main door in the morning I get to see these tubs with the water hyacinth plants and a flower or two that bloom in both the tubs.
My garden is not totally devoid of colour in the rains. We have the indigo butterfly pea flower a profuse yield, alamanda and a few others.
We had a heavy shower last evening that continue right through the night. October is not a month for rain but nature has gone berserk and that is all what I can say
I clicked this photo this morning.

@allknowing It's not good news but I'll save it for a discussion.

If they grow in abundance in water bodies then they are invaders and need to be eradicated, sadly.

@allknowing Yes, that's what local government units do when these hyacinths have begun to encroach on water space.
