Did you know that Country Singer Don Williams was a "folkie" before he became a country singer?

I'm going to attach one of my favorite songs from childhood days. It's called "If I were a Carpenter," and it is sung by the Poso Seco Singers. Don Williams, who I believe songs lead on this song, was a member of the Poso Seco Singers.
Of course, he later became a well-known Country singer in the United States. I believe he was a big man, and was sometimes called the "Gentle Giant." @FourWalls will know more.
My favorite love song ever, "If I Needed You," written by the great Townes Van Zandt, was made famous by Don Williams and Emmylou Harris. As with "If I were a Carpenter," the harmonies make the song extra beautiful.
I have a vocal student. He is about 12-years-old I have been teaching him to sing harmonies. It's fun. But more on that another time.
Here's the link.Do you enjoy musical harmonies? Do you have a favorite "harmony song"?

Yup I know and really like this song. I enjoy harmony like some of the songs the Everly Brothers sang.

@TheHorse — she co-wrote “Boulder to Birmingham.”

She has long been one of my favorites. She did a lot of covers, but her own song, Boulder to Birmingham, is one of my favorites. And you can tell @FourWalls I said that.

He was one of my favorites and had his "cassette" with I Believe in You" and all his best hits back then. I was all about 70's oldies rock and 80's country and rock. Still am. There are so many I loved hearing in Harmony. Simon and Garfunkle, Righteous Bros, Gatlin Bros, Beach Boys, and Everly Bros are only a few.

Very soothing. SO MANY groups with good harmony...the Everly Brothers is one such duo. Have a good day.
