I did not know the apricot tree had such beautiful flowers. They coul dbe used for making bouquets and wonder if they are really used that way and how long they would last. .
We do not have apricots growing here. I love apricots both fresh and dried. The dried ones I soak in sugar syrup as they are hard on the teeth.
Can imagine the tree in full flower - what a sight it must be.

Same as the peach and apple flowers, they do not last long and are not used to make bouquets because they are directly attached to the branches. My grandmother and my mother in law had apricot trees in the garden. I have a dwarf apricot tree in a large vase outside.

None of those trees are found here although I did see the apple tree in Srinagar, Kashmir but there were no flowers then - only fruits
I remember using flowers of some tree for decorating the centre piece of my friend's wedding I think it was laburnum

@allknowing We cut branches from flowering cherry trees, those are ornamental and they do not produce cherries. The flowers are pretty and you do not lose fruits cutting them.

In my case I cannot say they were fresh but sun dried. They were soft and I used them in puddings.

Yes, they're so pretty! They remind me of cherry blossoms, they'd surely make a lovely landscape.
