And I Forgot

October 17, 2024 1:25pm CST
I had an idea for a fantastic discussion to post here, like a real discussion! But I was in bed, trying to fall asleep. We all know the shower is the best place for brilliant ideas to strike, but the bed is no joke either. I could have used my phone to write it down but I was trying to avoid the blue light that interferes with sleeping. I thought repeating it a few times in my head would have helped me remember. Unfortunately, that didn't work. It was a great topic to discuss and it didn't involve politics nor religion, it was perfect! I only remember how amazing it was, but not WHAT it was. Lesson learned, I suppose. What now? Shall I talk about my dinner? I had fried eggs.

@AmbiePam Thank you! I had the same model in another post, about reading books. It's a penguin. I found it on an Easter egg. It's cute and a pleasure to work with.

I think we have probably all did that. You could maybe put a notebook by the bed and write a few notes about it

@wolfgirl569 Yeah, I'm sure many can relate. And really, I won't miss the chance of creating the best discussion of the year ever again.

hahahahah! I know how you feel. Lesson learned keep a pen and paper with you, you can write down a summary or keyword even if your eyes is closed, it works for me.

Being a writer and a poet I keep some paper and a pencil in my night table drawer so iif ideas come at night I quickly jot them down,

Just now
Smart phones have a built-in blue light filter that you can turn on. I have mine set to sunset to sunrise. It gives the screen a cooler redish tone and reduces eye strain at night.

That is so annoying. Usually repeating it several times helps me remember but not always.
