I’ve been thinking.

For four hours on Wednesday I devoted myself to the issue around uncomfortable airplanes experiences. I applied my thinking quite sedulously to the thorny problem and now I have the solution airlines like Aer Lingus have been searching for. Why didn’t they just ask me instead of settling for what they think the best way is. What’s needed is to remove every second row of seats. Now hold on, I know that doubles the cost of a ticket to sit on those awful seats, but I’d be willing to pay and I’m sure others would too. After all, sitting for 4 hours, yes 4 hours, from Dublin to Athens, packed in like battery hens is no fun way to start of end a holiday. And think on. Less fuel will be needed and cabin crew will be less harassed. Boarding and de-boarding will be effected more efficiently and there will be room to stretch out on the floor in a medical emergency. Fifty percent fewer passengers equals fifty percent fewer toilet runs. It’s a win win for passengers and airlines.

I'm all for larger seats and more room between seats. Have a good weekend.

@judyev When they email asking for a review, as they will, they will get my ideas with full vigour.
